other techniques critics likened to torture 06 May 2009 Former Bush administration officials have launched a behind-the-scenes campaign to urge Justice Department leaders to soften an ethics report criticizing lawyers who blessed harsh detainee interrogation tactics prisoner torture, according to two sources familiar with the efforts.
Representatives for John C. Yoo and Jay S. Bybee, subjects of the ethics probe, have encouraged former Justice Department and White House officials to contact new officials at the department to point out the 'troubling' precedent of imposing sanctions on legal advisers, said the sources, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the process is not complete.

The Bush administration lawyers who approved the use of waterboarding and other brutal interrogation techniques are likely to escape criminal prosecution, according to a US justice department draft report.
The lawyers, at worst, face being referred to their bar associations for possible disciplinary action.

An internal Justice Department inquiry into the conduct of Bush administration lawyers who wrote secret memorandums authorizing brutal interrogations has concluded that the authors committed serious lapses of judgment but should not be criminally prosecuted,
according to government officials briefed on a draft of the findings. The report by the Office of Professional Responsibility, an internal ethics unit within the Justice Department, is also likely to ask that state bar associations consider possible disciplinary action, (ARE WE JOKING HERE?)
including reprimands or even disbarment, for some of the lawyers involved in writing the legal opinions, the officials said......

Inspector at Pentagon Says Report Was Flawed 06 May 2009 In a highly unusual reversal,
the Defense Department’s inspector general’s office has withdrawn a report it issued in January exonerating a Pentagon public relations propaganda program that made extensive use of retired officers who worked as military analysts for television and radio networks.
Donald M. Horstman, the Pentagon’s deputy inspector general for policy and oversight, said in a memorandum released on Tuesday that the report was so riddled with flaws and inaccuracies that none of its conclusions could be relied upon.

Well its now 2012 and our new President has been up to this point a major disappointment. In my honest opinion anyway.
Not Much different than the Republican before him.
So many broken promises, Where do I start? Right after he got started, he did not remove the spying that goes on on our own citizens, That the Bush before him installed.
Escalated the afghan war, He Did stop the Iraq war (kinda)
He caved in to not closing Guantanamo Cuba prison.
He signed and installed the most damaging loss of American rights on record,
When he signed the bill allowing any American Citizen to be deemed a terrorist against our own country for little offenses like simple protesting, and to be jailed indefinitely without reason, proof, or even a trial.
He has signed bills allowing the U.S. military to use deadly force against our own citizens, on our own soil.
He gave permission for the staffing of fema camps, or concentration type of prisons to hold rebellious citizens of the U.S.A.
He has repeatedly refused to look into the huge crimes of the Bush administration relating to 911, and other outrageous acts carried out by his administration.
He has refused to investigate the banking industry for obvious crimes against homeowners and investors. In the largest heist in the planets history.
Where millions of American home owners lost their homes and investors lost billions of dollars , thru wall street`s back handed deals.
The killing of innocent civilians in foreign countries by using drone aircraft to carry out murders in those countries.
Has failed to establish more balanced trade tariffs as promised to fix the unbalanced import- export of goods into this country causing great job loss.
Has not stopped the backroom deals with lobbyist and our lawmakers in buying laws to suit big business.
Has not created thousands of jobs as promised repairing our crumbling infra structure.
This is only a small taste of what has gone on since Obama took office, Much of it is really bad for Americans and Alot of it is Worse than that.
And he wants to be re elected.......
We All Know Court Fines And Lawyer Fees Cause A Huge Strain Onm The Family Budget, And We Do Not Condone Illegal Activity.
But You Must Protect Yourselfs At All Times From Any Threats No Matter Where They Come From, Just Like Auto Insurance You Must Be Protected.
